Leaf coloring

What is wrong with this plant. Leaves are spotted and can not see any bugs.

I think it is probably mites...I have had some look like that! Let's see what the experienced growers have to say though. Just recently I purchased and used the Safer product with seaweed and it seems to be working!

Thought mybe it was a defiency of some sort. It was sitting among 8 others and it is the only one that is showing the spots.

Ted, does the back of the leaf feel like it is sandy or gritty? If so, that sounds like some kind of mite, but they certainly aren't visible in the pictures. Maybe white mites that burrow into the leaves and can't be seen without magnification, are the culprit, but they make the leaves brittle. I'm with you and tending to think that it is a deficiency of some kind. Maybe a light spray of borax mixed with water in case it is a boron deficiency. Susie told me about this last year. Also, using a fertilizer that contains minors will help deter some of the deficiency problems that can arrise.

Thanks Brugie, The leaves have a little curl but are normal looking, soft and fuzzy, except for the spots.

That's what mine looked like last year when I got spider mites. You can't see the bugs, but you might see a little bit of webbing.

I second or third the opinions. Looks like mites to me.
