Is hydroponic gardening clasified as organic, and is hydroponic gardening affected/regulated by the seasons?

It wouldn't qualify as organic as I understand the term, and the seasonal changes would have little or no effect as the elements of light and temperature are artificially regulated. As to lunar phases - maybe, but probably only to an infinitesimal degree. Interesting question. Let's check with the folks in the Hydroponics Forum. I haven't been getting over there much lately - maybe they've covered this topic.
Hydroponics systems use chemicals, not organic compost.
Most Chemicals are synthetics of a sorts..
