Great picture,
Things sure look happy. What is the name of the plant on the right side with the wide flat leaf?

It is a native plant called Blood Root,The indians would use the roots to make dye and war paint. When yopu break the long tuberous root it looks like bloody flesh.IT has a pretty flower too.The flowers come up and bloom as the foilage rises out of the ground
and here is a pic of it in bloom.

We have a Botanical garden here in town called reflection ridingbotanical gardens at the base of lookout mountain and they have plant sells twice a year and That is were I get my native plants. I have never looked for it in a traditional catalog. Probably a nursery which specializes in native species. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

New Providence, NJ(Zone 6a)

Mary's Plant Farm Nursery sells them. I bought it last year for the bareroot and planted it in October. Haven't see it come up yet. It might be my fault since I really don't remember exactly where I put it. But others plants I ordered from her are up: Mayapple, Jeffersonia Diphylla etc.

You'd see it if it came up because the blooms come up first.
