When do they flower?

How old do brugs have to be to see flowers. I have 3 from last year that I kept in my porch. There were no flowers last year. I'm not sure what they are since no flowers came for an ID. Can I be hopefull for this season?

How big did they get? Generally, if you start them from cuttings or get rooted plants in the fall or spring, they will bloom that summer. They like to eat a lot. I fertilize mine twice a week until it gets really hot and then they go on a diet. They still eat, just not as much.

Not real big about 24- 30 '' and stayed pretty dormant over the winter one is about 3 '. I didn't do well on the feeding end but now I know!! Thanks

Brugie, does that rule apply to plants from seedlings as well? I received four Brug seedlings last fall and have kept them under grow lights all winter. The are now about 24 - 30" tall. Is it reasonable to expect them to bloom for me this coming summer?

Thank you.

Erick, I would be disappointed if they didn't bloom for you. Last year I started some of Monika's seeds on Feb. 14 and they bloomed for me the same year. I'm sure you will see blooms. Just feed them good. LOL!

Thank you Brugie. Your excellent advice is what saved my four brugs a couple months back. They totally recovered from the mites and are looking great. I have been negligent in not updating that thread. Know that your advice was sincerely appreciated.

I look forward to sharing my first Brug pics with you and everyone else this summer!
