Aw gee! Thanks you guys! It is beautiful out here today, I just got up and it is +11C already!. Yesterday we had +24C. I almost had to turn on the air conditioner! Spring has sprung and I've been poking around in the perennial beds everyday to see what else has come up. I don't know about you but I'm chomping at the bit to get planting and digging! Wish you guys all great gardening this year!

On the south side of the house I have the following coming up: irises (6" tall), daylily, catmint, woodland aster, Asiatic Lily Cancun, geranium, oriental poppies, Shasta Daisy, coreopsis, Sweet William, Clematis & phlox. I can't beleive this stuff is all showing already. In the back yard (that is fully exposed to the prairie winds because the fence isn't all put up yet), I have less coming up. The daylilies there aren't showing yet but iris, creeping phlox, johnny jumpups, tulips, Oriental poppy, shasta daisy, dianthus, bellflower, catmint, & some delphiniums are up. The dephiniums are also 6 inches tall already. I planted Daffodils, crocus, species tulip and grape hyacinth, for the first time last fall, and none of that is showing at all which worries me. Don't you think I should be seeing some signs of life from them by now?
My Goodness, Songbird. You could start your own greenhouse there! Yes, it's strange your crocuses aren't up and even finished by now. And the Daff's and tulips should be up too. Your delphiniums are taller than mine already. Mine are only out of the ground about 2 inches. You'll be rolling in blossoms soon, girl! WTG!
