Which of the spring bulbs and be trimed before they die back naturally?
Cutting the green?
I might be wrong about this but I think if you wanna grow them again they need the leaves to store energy for next year. anybody else?
Thats right. Cut the leaves before they're finished photosynthesizing and storing food for next years bloom, and all you'll get is leaves next year. Everything except Daffodils seem to die back pretty fast, but Daffs can be a sloppy pain. I've tried to place mine behind daylilies so the mess is camoflaged(sp?).
thanks guys, it wont be to much of a mess to let them stay,
