These grow quite fast and are just beautiful trees. A plus is that they do produce plums that are small but very juicy and make just the best jelly if they don't get frostbit after bloom. I am not sure if they are "Japanese Plum Trees" or "Purple Leaf Plum Trees". The tree I got was from a lady that called in a "Japanese Plum"...but to me it looks more like a "Purple Leaf Plum".
Here is a picture of the Momma tree that we planted about 4 years ago.. and it is now over 10 feet tall. and just beautiful.. It blooms in early spring and is really lovely.
I am interested in trading for peonies, (single or tree or Japanese type) in any color but ice cream pink or deep red, or perhpaps Holly hocks ( any color) or ferns that will get rather large. Or make me an offer... I love all sorts of stuff... *smile*..
CLOSED: Have Baby Plum Trees for Trade
I can send you some rather large sword ferns if that's what you are looking for. I have some that are mature and I need to move them. They get to be a couple of feet tall and have a long, dark green leathery leaf. I look through my garden photos and see if I have a picture.

Okay, here is a picture of one of the sword ferns just leafing out last spring. My friend in the picture is a native Douglas Squirrel, a little red squirrel who lives mostly in old growth forest. I feel very fortunate to have him live in my yard, and especially have him come around for seeds. He is acrobatic and funny, and bosses the gray squirrels unmercifully.
You both have mail... Thank you bunches..
Carolyn
I've got some deep red peonies that are up in a spot they aren't supposed to be. (I moved the mommy plant a couple of years ago and missed these roots. I'd love to have one of your trees. :-)
