H. zebrina is a very variable species, as mentioned in the picture comment this one is Subspecies zebrina.

How come its called life saver plant? is it because its stinky perfume could wake the dead? I have placed flowers in clip seal plastic bag (to use in a drawing class) and smell still came through!
