Ann has a brug and its a cutting above the Y from a lady who grows hers inside.
is it possible for it to make roots with out forming nubbies?? she says it looks like a little root peeking out from where it was cut but no nubbins.
i thought they had to have nubbins before they rooted???
question for friend
Yes, I have seen this happen before. The cutting will send roots out right at the bottom of the cutting. But this does not happen that often in my experience.
okay will email her and tell her.
i always thought they had to have the white nubbins first. hmm learn something everyday.
Thanks
I've had a couple do that too, no nubbies, but little tiny roots at the bottom of them, my coral glow did just that, it was a soft wood cutting, I pulled it this morn to send off to someone, it has little roots coming out the bottom but no nubbies LOL

I had the same thing happen in my bubbler, in fact the first root I saw arrived like that, and several more started the same way...I thought I was seeing things and got out my magnifying glass to make certain...
I've also had this happen once in a while.
Some of my over-wintered cold water brug cuttings did it this year.
