After reading the entries that stated bigger pots seemed to grow bigger plants I moved the first of the brugs into its
'final' pot.The 20" D X 16" H pot is still portable and has a good sized lip. She (Enchanted X ?) WILL bloom this time.
I forgot where the large 18" saucer under the fig tree came from and have called all but a couple dealers but so far
nobody seems to carry them.Maybe later in the spring?
repotting
I really want my cuttings to get large as well. Only thing is I want to keep them small for now, until I can put them outside for the summer, as I will be taking them back and forth from upstairs, to the main floor front porch/patio - need them light weight. I haven't noticed any roots coming out of the bottom of the pots so far, so I think I'm ok for now. One of my Whiskers I just might transplant this week - it really wants to grow.
They are going to love those pots when they get outside. You will too.
Very nice pots. Your Brugs are going to grow like crazy in them.
I think I saw the clear saucers at Lowes. I only use the saucers when they are indoors, or out on grass. I don't use them if they are on concrete - I just let them drain.
Karrie,Most places have the saucers but only in the smaller sizes. The 18" heavy plastic ones seem to be pretty rare.Found the manufacturer,Akro-mils,has a distributor in Spokane and Woodinville so will call the Woodinville number.I like to use them in the sunroom on the wooden floor part over winter.
Wal-Mart has the larger saucers for $1.75 they are brown plastic that matches the large pots. my problem is they do not have the large pots out yet
