I am searching for a tropical plant

Linden, TN

that I once had some of when we lived in Florida...
It is called Firecracker Plant, Fountain Plant or maybe Coral Plant. It has very fine foliage and red flowers... It has loads of beautiful red trumpen shaped flowers that are rather small, but it produces so many flowers and the hummingbirds just love it.

If you know what I mean, and have a division you would be willing to trade, please let me know. I have a few plants to trade, or I can send postage....

Thank you so much,
Carolyn

Is it this one? http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/1333/index.html

if it's not the plant shown in Badseed's posting, could you be referring to Russelia Equisetiformis, aka firecracker plant? I have a 2.5 pit of it available, ready to trade. PLMK

Linden, TN

The Russelia Equisetiformis is exactly what I am looking for.... I like the other one too, but it was the Russelia that I have been wanting. When we lived in Florida, we had a hugonic sized clump of the stuff...loved it.

Vossner, you have mail... =0)

Thanks bunches,
Carolyn

Hey Vossner, what is a 2.5 pit? I looked up the plant and the description said it works well in hanging baskets. If you have more after helping our new friend, I'd love some too!! LMK if you have enough and what you are looking to grow. :)
