thanks everyone for the birthday greetings. We haven't had snail mail for over 2 weeks so it's e-mail or nothing.
My DH did all the cooking for a day and prepared a marvellous repast including a triple chocolate cake--I'm still speedy from it the next day! So I did have a wonderful day, and thank you again.

I've never eaten anything quite like that cake--I asked for it to be un-iced, but even so just a thin slice has me sizzling! (He was so dismayed at the idea of no icing that he made a frozen banana-peach thingy to go on it and presented just one slice for the candle ceremony.)
Oh my goodness! If you ever put him up for adoption let me know...what a treasure!
