I took my palm plants into the bathroom and gave them a spidermite
shower. then i got lazy and left one in there on the sink ,, very low lighting.
24 x 7 .. like a 40 watt light bulb ,,
I just got the room fixed up and moved this palm back into the room and
found this on it ..
what is it doing ? ... why ?

This is my first try with palms. i dont even know what it really is,
WalMart special species. Palm/Spath was the only thing on the label.
You can look at it or ignore it. Cut it off or leave it on. Probably won't be spectacular and eventually will dry up and can be trimmed off.
Some others turn into something truly spectacular and bizarre:
