She's such a petite little tree but soooo strong.
My DH weedwacked the bottom of her trunk last year. It was quite deep and looked like a beaver chewed around it.
She healed up and continues to bloom her head off.
I'll have to stake her this summer so she doesn't break off and start a new tree by airlayering above the damage.
