I was hoping beyond hope than I might get a brug bloom on one of my brugs I got cuttings from last year. Well, I was out watering yesterday and lo and behold. Not one bud but 2. One looks to be yellowish with variegated foliage. The other is not showing color yet and has normal foliage. I don't know the names of either of these two. TIme will tell if they open fully.
Hopefully, someone can ID them for me.
Here is the one with normal foliage.

My very first brug buds
Congratulations, Jan. It's so exciting, isn't it?? Keep us posted as those buds open.
Green with envy LOL Congrats Jan!!!
How exciting!! Congratulations!
Congrats!!!
They look good and very happy to be in the sunshine
The one with variegated foliage appears to be Maya. The other one will probably have to bloom before being ID'ed.
Congrats, Jan. You'll love your bloom.
Fantastic Jan!!
Can't wait to see what you have when they open. I'm waiting... :)
Congrats on your blooms. They look great.
I'm sticking with my original guess.....Maya.
bump
Yep. They always start out white and turn peachy color. It doesn't look like VP, because of the way the blooms hang and it definitely isn't Snowbank. I'll eat my words if it turns out to be something else though. I'm never afraid to apologize for making a mistake.
Congrats on your first blooms! It just gets better!!

Brugie,
How many varieties of variegated brugs are there?
Jan...
I'll start a list and others can add to it.
White Suaveolens Variegata
Maya
Peaches & Cream
Snowbank
There are a couple of green on green variegated brugs too.
It's looking more and more like the Maya I saw pics of in the plants database.
Jan...congratulations on your first blooms!! They are looking good!!
Jan, it looks like she's in your front yard by the driveway. Anyone asking to look and smell yet? Charge 'em per sniff and it's extra for Jimmy Durante class sniffers. :)
Fortunately, the driveway is long enough to keep people away but you can smell it from at least 4 ft off. My brugs are all in pots until I decide on a permanent placement for them.
