some daffys missing?

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

I have seen no sign of my tete-a-tete or the one split cup I have. Are they more tender than others? Or is there some other factor that could have killed them off?

Hi, woodspirit--

sorry to here some daffs are missing--I feel for you as the same happened to many of mine--I do know that the doubles and split cups are more ephemeral than the hardy trumpets like King Alfred types, etc...but I don't know what to say about the tete a tete's.

I did find this write up from Paghat's Garden that suggests tete's are pretty hardy, but...

Good luck, and let's see some pictures of your other spring buds! You must have some rhodies by now, no?

Guess what! They finally showed up and did well. How late they are compared to my other daffys.
