Puyas are really getting going now!

Here's some photos of Huntington Garden puyas and their cool flowers in April... most of the year these are just masses of spiny, sort of messy plants... but now they are incredible. This is Puya chilensis

Here's an unnamed species with bright green flowers (NOrma, if you can find out this species, that would be great!)

Here's another puya chilensis... don't know if you can appreciate it or not, but these flowers are covered in bees and often have multiple little birds on them, too

The color on the Puya alpestris is so different from anything I've seen. I don't get to see all this variety in person so I'm really glad you posted.
