What a wonderful photo of a beautiful tree. The colors go so well with the color of the house. I love to see the trunks and branches of trees and shrubs when they are not in leaf. Mother Nature's artistry is well shown in your photo as well as your photographic artistry. Thanks for sharing.

I agree, the winter appearance is wounderful. Believe it or not, this speciment belongs to the house next door. This was the best background shot I could get since there was construction under way next door. I'm not in love with Walking Sticks when they have their leaves, but this specimen is so gorgeous that I am considering buying one!!! I'm glad you like it.

All of our local nurseries in PA have this plant. This beautiful specimen is not mine. Most specimens I see are large and have very little form but look more like a mass of tangles. Not sure if this was trained or pruned to achieve such a wonderful form or they just got lucky. I too love them in the winter...just think about all the useds for the branches too!
