NEEDED : Dwarf Oleander plants or cuttings

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

HELP!! :-) I need cuttings or plants of Dwarf hybrid oleanders.red, pink, white ,salmon etc. Can trade for other types of tropicals. I need dwarf not standard sized types. Email me for info

If there are some of these varieties growing in your general area you can get all the plants you want by rooting cuttings from local plants.

That's what I'm doing. : - >

Eclipse... How tall does the dwarf get?

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

Kyle, I lost my favorite dwarf last year (boo-hoo, still crying), a fragrant dark pink named Turner's Flirt. I still have one named Turner's Carnival. I'll look to see if it can be cut back and let you know.

Donna, he lives in Iowa, no tropicals growing in the ground there! Well, that's not EXACTLY true, he plants bunches every year, but they won't live through the winter unless he digs them back up.

Hmmm, never thought about them being a tropical....

Goes to show how we can into the habit of taking something for granted.

I can order the plants from Turners..but very expensive.

I have a bright magnetta one (I not sure the final size it was here at the house when we bought it and they left no info on anything here) right now it is only 3 ft tall but I have no ide age or type. if you would like some email me and I will work something out. Mitch

Mitch,
If the plant is a dwarf and not just a young tree, its leaves will be close together and smaller than a regular oleander. The dwarf bushes are very dense in shape.

:-)

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

These leaves are rather long on the whole - prob not then - sorry - if you still would like some cuttings I have them but not the type you where looking for - Mitch

If you would like I'll get some for you.

I think mine maybe a dwarf. It grows to about 3'. And the leaves are about 4" long and fairly close. It makes a dense bush. It's baby pink. I don't remember the name of it, so I have no clue if it is a hybrid or not.

I've only seen the light peach and light link dwarf oleanders. Dwarf oleanders can get 6-8 feet tall, but it takes them a long time to get that tall. I had some of both back in San Jose. None here in central Texas. Local nurseries don't sell them because they have to be treated as an annual here. They need Zones 9b or higher to thrive in the ground. They have a pretty extensive root system, but a large pot might do.

Luckpup....sounds like you have a dwarf type then.

Not to be contrairy, but I live in 8a and mine dies back in winter and pops back out in spring til frost. I've had it for seven years and it has never gotten any taller. If you would like to trade for some you can email me with a list.
Happy Spring,
