I have been blessed to be given lots of seeds...
Of the first batches I was not knowledgeable enough and perhaps got one or two sprouts. NOW...I am getting pots full! I could spend 24/7 potting all of them up. Is that what "you all who grow out seedlings" do?
I only know that with hoyas the seeds are sprouted and the culling begins...perhaps the top 50 and then the top 25 and then the top ?.
Kyle, Monika, Brugie.Kell, and all of you great mavens...do you cull your sprouted seedlings to the strongest and most robust and perhaps keep 10 or 15.
Inquiring minds with little time want to know....

...and...anudder question....
Carol, I wait unti mine blooms before I start culling.
I would think if you only wanted so many, to pick out the healthiest looking ones as your keepers. I mean - think of all the time, money, etc... for something you will run out of space for. I am more conservative than some here - but I have limited space as well.
Someone once said that many times the best brug comes from the worst seedling. Monika has always said that you must grow out every seed, even if you have to ask neighbors to help, but be sure to keep track of them.
Thanks...I thought as much...
Carol
