Arnottiana blooms!!
How does it smell?????
Carol
You grow!
Carol it doesn't really have a smell.
Blessings,
Awanda
Yeah Awanda! Spring has sprung!
Once again a "mis-identified" hoya. It's not a Arnottiana, I don't know what it is, but I'm still a happy camper.
Blessings,
Awanda
Awanda...you had me going for a minute there!
The leaves and blooms of your hoya look a lot like those on a NOID hoya (that I'd orignially assumed was the common Carnosa) I own of my grandmother's.......I had sent cuttings to a couple of other hoya lovers in the past, and no one can seem to pinpoint an ID....they've said they do believe it to be a Carnosa, but not an 'ordinary' Carnosa.
Just wondering if you may have received it from someone that I sent it to? And if you have an idea what it might be?
Me too. I had been given a cutting of a hoya labeled "H. salweenica from Bob Smoley" that turned out to be ID'd by Chris Burton as 99% sure it was H. carnosa...but one that had no speckles...the leaves are quite different in shape, as well. I call it H. aff. carnosa just to be safe..perhaps your source of this hoya got it from the same person I did (in a trade).
Carol
Here is a wild guess: H. fungii.
H. fungii is a H. carnosa relative...called the H. carnosa from Vietnam. The flower color makes no difference...color is so influenced by environment and nutrition.
The leaves make sense.
So...the guess is not too wild.
