Looking For: Virginia Creeper (Parthenocissus quinquefolia)

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

I know that this plant can become invasive in the southern part of the US, but it doesn't appear to do that here in the North.

I would like to plant it all around an ugly garden shed and put wires on the building for this to climb. I'm trying to hide the building. LOL

If anyone is going to dig some out, I'd love to get quite a bit of it.

I'd love to trade if I have something you are looking for, send a list of what you are wanting, or else I can pay the postage. My trade package wouldn't be able to go out for about another month though, because I don't have anything waking up yet.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Let me see how much I can round up for you. :)

Ah, 'Chele to the rescue again. :) Let me know what you want in trade. I'll find it! Thank you so much!

Brookeville, MD(Zone 7a)

I'm just suggesting a different plant.

Winchester, KY(Zone 6a)

I'll have plenty to pot up and trade next month. It tends to climb more like ivy with little arial roots holding it to a structure, so you may want to reconsider using wire. Depending on the siding of the shed, it may cling directly to it without providing support.

Thanks so much. Let me know if you have any extra to trade, and I'll see if I'm still needing more.

I may hold off putting the wire up until it gets a little bigger, and see if it will cling or not. The shed is wood, so it just might cling on it's own. That would be nice.

CaptMicha, I know some people hate this stuff, but where I'm putting it, it has room to do it's thing and it's not gonna get away. People that live in town have it and it remains pretty well behaved in this climate.

Niceville, FL(Zone 8b)

I have the darn stuff here and it clings to my wooden privacy fence. If you need more, holler and I'll send you a mess of it.
