Love this site!

Just found you and joined tonight. I have already posted seed requests and had one answered. How's that for a wonderful place to find new friends?? I've met someone who has at least six things in common with me and counting. I've asked questions and even answered one!

I'm a very happily married 43-year-old mother of two kids, two basset hounds and one cat. I LOVE gardening, especially since I suffer from MS and it is one of the things that really keeps me going. I've lost almost all my fine motor skills and cannot walk. I suffer from full-body pain and feel no sensation other than pain below the neck. I feel no hunger, etc.

I've just gotten my new greenhouse, thanks to a very handy husband. My seed trays have all sprouted and will be potted up soon, so I can start more. My worm factory is busy, though I had to rescue it from the dogs tonight (man, they are wily rascals!). I am also getting several new raised beds to house even more plants this year, thanks to my angel!

One of the things I love about gardening is sharing it with my kids (9+11). I learned from my dad and mom, both of whom are gone now, and share the same love with my kids. We love to watch seeds sprout, peruse catalogs for something new to try, plant and harvest. I dry herbs for tea all winter and for baking, which my daughter never tires of. They appreciate the work that goes into growing the food, think it all tastes better for being home-grown, eat things from the garden they would NEVER eat from the store and share all their knowledge with their friends! What more could you ask for??

I write novels, listen to music, play boardgames, watch movies and only a few tv shows, cook and bake with my husband. And, of course, I garden!
