Brugmansia 'Alyse'

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

Blooming again starting Easter, this plant has massive structure.
The trunk is as larger than my wrist, yet the plant has little cutting wood.
Double blooms are larger than my hand.
Colour starts out pure white, to cream, to a deep orange to finish.
Flower tissue is thick. Blooms last a long time, too.
This brug really stands out in the crowd. lol

Its been so cold and dreary, the brugs are so slow to start this year.
And the foliage less green from the dim light.
But spring is here (o:

Very pretty! I'd love to see a pic of her when she turns, too. Does she really hold blooms out that vertical? I like that aspect in GL, and now in Alyse, too.

Karaoke,

Hold off until about Mid-May where you are before planting them in the ground. You could possibly take them out in pots during warm days - but be sure to bring them back in at night. Only the lucky people down in the South (and some on coastal lines - like in WA state) can put them in permanent position earlier. I'd hate to see you lose all you've worked for!

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

Lovely shape, color and form!

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

Thanks Karrie, your right I don't want to lose any of them.
Abutilon put me in line for seeds, or start of this one too I love it

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

Very pretty and very swirly.....love it!
I am waiting until mid May to plant out also, although a few might be "haulers", i.e. out with warm days, but back in after supper.
I know that we are totally safe around Memorial Day. Seems like an eternity.

Victoria, BC(Zone 8b)

Alice, it's really outstanding! The way it stands out from the plant, the flower shape, and the color changes sound wonderful! Please post pics at each color stage!

Wow,been awhile since a Brug tripped my trigger, that looks like a special one!

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

This is how it bloomed last time.
The flowers deepened as it aged.
The cold made the blooms hang down.
This flush, they are up again.

Carter, Golden Lady is the pod parent.
I will try to remember a pix of both blooms together to show how large this one is over Mama.

I will try to get more pix this week, too.
Thanks everyone.
