WOW and I thought I was all alone and needed to ask for help, up untill I came here in July I never thought much about seeds, and plants, now I think of nothing else, nothing to eat in the fridge, but there are lots of seeds to keep going over, deciding where to plant.

Pleasureville, KY(Zone 6a)

My cars are parked in the driveway, because I have taken over the garage with my germination trays, and seedlings.

Adrian, MI(Zone 5b)

Sounds normal to me!! Ha!! It's spring!!

Are we not great we great Spent all day putting stuff out side and hunting spots and now hunting spots to start more seed LOL

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

Perfectly normal behavior.

I have seeds germinating on the kitchen counter on our heat pad, there's seeds germinating in the bay window where it's nice and warm, and I have seeds germinating in baggies hanging on the window.

I have growlights in the basement, and the other day when I was bringing some plants to the basement, DH asked where I was going with them. I said they graduated from Kindergarten to middle school. He said what stage are they when they finally get to go into the garden? Adulthood. His reply was what happened to High School? Oh, yeah...that's when they are being hardened off to survive in the outside world, and we are busy chasing them in and out of the house.

Modesto, CA(Zone 8b)

I hear there's a 12-step program for this....but then I'd have to clear all the seed and seed paraphernalia off the dining room table and actually serve food to my family there. I'd rather be "sick". Besides it will be fall before I know it anyway.....

Seale, AL(Zone 8b)

Hot Dogs and applesauce here, no time to cook and just got more lunch meat for sandwhiches.

Here for those of you who haven't seen this before, ya might get a kick out of it.

A Week in the life of a Gardener's Spouse

She dug the plot on Monday-
The soil was rich and fine,
She forgot to thaw out dinner-
So we went out to dine...

She planted roses Tuesday-
She says they are a must,
They really are quite lovely,
But she forgot to dust...

On Wednesday it was daisies-
They opened up with the sun,
All whites and pinks and yellows-
But the laundry wasn't done...

The poppies came on Thursday-
A bright and cheery red,
I guess she really was engrossed-
She never made the bed...

It was violets on Friday-
In colors she adores,
It never bothered her at all-
All the crumbs upon the floors...

I hired a maid on Saturday-
My week is now complete,
My wife can garden all she wants-
The house will still be neat!

It's nearly lunchtime Sunday-
And I cannot find the maid,
Oh no! I don't believe it!
She's out there WITH THE SPADE!!!

Good one, Robin.

Ok, I have to show that poem to DH. It would almost be funny if it weren't so true! (he went out and bought TV trays! LOL!) At least he'll know he has company.....besides I'm a 'hunting widow' from Sept 1st through the middle of February! Fair is fair!

No Dear, you are a 'Deer Widow'...... LOL!

....Dove, Deer, Duck, Goose, Quail, Turkey, you name it. The only reason I don't mind is that we eat what he shoots and he never hunts things that are not abundant. I have a problem with "trophy hunting".....my idea there is to give the gun to the animal (or simply take the gun and trucks away from the hunter....) and see who's brave then! I love the stories that come out about a hunting dog tripping on the gun and shooting the hunter....LOL!

Wow, I must be the Queen of Rabbit Trails.....sorry everyone!

ROTFLOL!!! I am an RC car widow April thru November-- so I need my pretties to keep me company all summer! LOL!!!

I had NO inclination towards houseplants gardneing ect until we bought our house in 2002 -- then I was faces with this barren yard, pitiful roses, and poor rootbound azelas (they never even losened the rootballs!!!!) and it took over!

I really love it though-- I dream of a greenhouse though!

I should post a pic of my "greenhouse". It has been 4 years in the building.... I'm still waiting. I may just pick up the hammer myself this spring and take care if it! To be fair, DH only works 14 to 16 hour days from March to November......
