Ladies/Gents she's got a digi!Ü Welcome aboard.......boy are you going to get addicted to this site. :)

Mississauga, ON(Zone 6a)

Can I have answers to my postings e-mailed to me? I asked this somewhere on the forums but not quite sure where I am. lol

I'll learn.

Joan

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

Not here.....we just click on the watch thread option and the threads you are *watching* will pop up at the top of your screen.

Celaya, Mexico(Zone 10a)

Welcome to DG Joan
Yes you'll learn.
On top click on "My info" (yours not mine LOL)
the click on "Manage your preferences"
Click on "Forums"
Now put a checkmark beside the Forums you like (don't forget the Canadian Trading one :) to put them in your Favorites list
Then click on "submit" on the bottom
Now every time you click on the "Home" Tab in DG all these favorit forums will show up and a red "Yes" indicates if there are new posts in a forum.

Please while you are in preferences enter your Province in "Your Location" section (otherwise you don't show up in the Canadian subscriber list)

Any Threads you start in a forum are automatically "watched". Threads you didn't start but would like to "Watch" must be watched manually as Pam (Lilypon) stated above.

Some help on common questions regarding DG are here in the FAQ http://davesgarden.com/faq/home/

LOL..........Milan you certainly said a mouthfull there. ;) Only he could cover so many bases accurately (and in detail) in one post.

Don't forget to include your growing zone #.......Shannon (spklatt) should be along with the link for that one. :)

Celaya, Mexico(Zone 10a)

still trying to untie the knots in my tongue :)

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

I think Christine (ceedub) has that link, Pam. I'm not sure where it is, off the bat. In the meantime, is that a distinct lack of snow I detect in the background of that photo, Joan? :-)

Happy gardening here, Joan.......from North Vancouver............Elaine

Yes Shannon, it would be me who has the link to Canadian hardiness zones - http://sis.agr.gc.ca/cansis/nsdb/climate/hardiness/intro.html - and 5a is not correct for Mississauga Joan, you're 5b or 6a. Welcome to Dave's! Have fun learning the ropes. What do you grow?
Christine.

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

Glad to see you made it with the link Christine. :)

I keep it in my favourites at home and at work - its a fascinating site - I get lost in it sometimes....lol.

Mississauga, ON(Zone 6a)

ceedub, the zone would be 5b. I usually give it as 5a/b as I think it is more accurate.

I am now an apartment dweller so a lot of my gardening is indoor or on the balcony. However, this building supplies gardening plots. Last year was my first for the plot and I grew beef-steak tomatoes, dahlias, peas, and marigolds. I put in 2 Alliums last Fall so am anxious to see how they do.

This year I'm going to do things a bit differently and will show pictures as I go along.

Have a good day.

That's great that you have a gardening plot. We'll be anxious ot watch your garden grow, as we show ours as they grow as well.

Welcome to DG's.

Joan, I planted two different kinds of Alliums last fall as well. They are up about 6 inches now and I am anxious as well to see them bloom. I planted Purple Sensation and Schubertii. We'll definitely have to compare photos later on in the season.
