Thanks for the comment kniphofia. At this time of year there is a lot of Gorse flowering all over the countryside, bright yellow flowers , it does look good but its not so good if you get it growing as a weed in your garden, very prickly !

Yes I know it is considered a common wildflower, and some would say of not much merit, but I remember it from the Northumberland hills and its beautiful fragrance..
