What do you use to fertilize your nanas? All of mine are inside and the tallest ones (Musa "ice cream" java and Musa basjoo) are about 14" tall. Do these guys need a special fertilizer just for nanas? I've been giving them 20-20-20 at 1/2 strength about once per month. Should I use something else once I move them outside where they can go hog wild in full sun?
Fertilizing banana trees
We feed ours 10-5-40...they love the potassium!! If you have a wood stove or fireplace or burn pit, a top dressing of ashes works too...

I bought banana fertilizer from The Banana Tree website a couple of years ago. I have no idea what the numbers are. It came in a clear plastic bag.
