Waiting and watching. I love it when this one blooms.
black gamecock bloom any day now.
That's a fabulous picture. Is it growing right inside your pond or in a boggy area? It's hard to tell from the picture.
Its inside the pond. Blooms multiple blooms every year.
That's wonderful to know. I bought one of these at a nursery last year. They recommended it as something to grow in dry shade. Can you imagine that? Well, it hasn't been very happy in dry shade and now I know why. I'll just pot it back up and put it in one of my ponds. Thanks. How deep can it sit in the pond?
Interesting. Mine is in full sun in the pond. The top of the pot is about3-4 inches below the water. The root over time has actually grown on the surface of the pot and has multiple seperate plants over time.
Thanks so much for the info. I'm delighted. Now the iris can have a whole new life.
