Winchester, KY(Zone 6a)

I love corydalis and have a woodland garden and lots of woodland natives I could trade(white and red trillium, dutchman's breeches, trout lilies, bloodroot, wild ginger, maidenhair, Christmas, and Lady ferns, anemonella, tiarella, and wild geranium). I'm not an advocate of collecting from the wild, but many of these species are growing in the lawn and need to be rescued from the mower. I have a lot of other perennials I can trade to.

See my list. Linda

I don't have anything very cool right now, just common stuff so I'll bow out gracefully. ;)
If any of my shadsy/woodsy stuff I planted last fall comes up, I'll get with you at another time.
Thanks!
Michelle

gemin..I'm the corydalis Queen!! LOL LOL Maybe we should talk about a seed trade too :-D

Winchester, KY(Zone 6a)

OOOhh goodie! I've never tried to harvest seed from any of the trilliums yet, but plan to this spring/summer, whenever they're ripe. I only have 1 variety of corydalis now, so I'd be thrilled with any kind. When is it best to dig and ship them? With the trillium I've found digging as they are going dormant is best, especially in this case because I won't be sure which ones are white or red until they bloom.

(Zone 7a)

You can dig mine when it blooms..The red one..Some people don't like this..But I have never had any problems receiving plants in bloom. I was talking about you aquiring different Corydalis...as I have different varieties in seed. What kind do you have? I still want to do the trade for the Trillium. I have white already.

Winchester, KY(Zone 6a)

I have Corydalis elata and only 1 of those, so any kind, even if it's the same is fine with me. I've moved the trilliums while in bloom and have had no problem. Our spring is about 3 weeks behind this year, but I expect to start seeing them emerge in April. How many would you like?

Cape May Court House, NJ(Zone 7a)
