I remember you bought the yellow petunia seeds from Parks at about the same time I bought mine (also the meadowbrite echi.) Here are my petunias, planted around Everhard Navel Orange tree. How are yours doing?

Well how cute is that?! And you have little mini-stakes too? I'm dying that is so cute! Mine are in a flat on my seed shelf right now. No little blooms yet- they just germinated recently. Thanks for showing me what I have to look forward to! :)

Oh Jamie, I was just MESSING with you. Those $%^&& seeds did squat for me, so I got impatient and made a bee line to the nursery and bought 3-4 little pots of the yellow ones. The are not staked--they just sort of stand up like little soldiers, unlike other varieties.

I was so disgusted w/ my seed sowing skills that I thought some ENVY (even if inpired by underhanded methods) would make me feel better. Then you have to ruin it by being nice and saying "those are cute". Now I'm just plain guilty for being so naughty...

Was just being silly and trying to make you smile.

Well now I AM mad b/c you had me thinking that's what I had to look forward to. Ha! Just kidding. Mine didn't do as well as my Park's seeds normally do. They did germinate, but not all of them. And they are still teeny little seedlings and growing really slowly. I was wondering how you got yours to grow so fast and thought I was seed growing impaired. LOL! That one in the middle looks like there is a tiny little dowel or something behind it so I thought you staked them. I was thinking "wow, and I thought I was anal. She stakes petunia seedlings!" LOL!!!

Glad to hear from you. You're one of the girls whose postings I enjoy reading and had missed. What can i say about the stupid petunias--Just lost my patience with those teeney weeney seeds and absolutely none of the fancy ones came up. Parks sent me a freebie packet of lilac petunia and would you believe I have 6 little plants that are about a month from being put outside full time?

BTW I got an email from the guy in OH from whom we bought the Meadowbrites saying mine were shipped. Yours should be coming along soon.

And as far as ANAL, don't you think paiting every single pot I own th same color or having an "all pink" color scheme ANAL enough??? Staking petunias would have been "low-level" OCD. LOL

Regards and stay sweet. nery
