We bought this wonderful plant a few months ago here in California U.S.A. Even before we put it in the ground (just recently) some of the branched were starting to die. Put it in the ground about a week ago and still it looks like it's dying. Appreciate any advise.
Thanks

I am not quite sure if it frosty where you live.

but this plant is likely to get die back in winter if it is, they also don,t like cold winds, and seem to do best in a warm sheltered position (south for you) average water but well drained in sun or part shade. Cut off the die back and hopefully it will regenerates.

Hope this helps Regards boot

Dear Boot,
Thank you so much for your response. At the time I bought it and now the weather has been in the 70's and 80's F. We have planted it in the proper place. I will be very brave and cut back the dead parts. I do indeed hope this helps as I was so looking forward to the edible berries on this plant. Have you eaten them?
Thanks again,
Dillansnana

No I have not eaten them, but I have on this plant, and they are alright to nibble on.
