Hello!
After years of storing EVERYTHING on my computer, it is beginning to slow down. I am going to have to download a whole bunch of data onto discs.
Because I play with Web design and am constantly creating and revising my own Web pages, I like to have much of this data readily on-hand as source material.
Yesterday, I received a catalog which contained a CD Carousel which SEEMS to fit the bill. If I understand correctly, this carousel, which can hold up to 150 disks, can be connected to one's PC via a USB cable.
The description states: "CDs, VCDs, DVDs, CD-Rs, CD-RWs.... up to 150 disks can be managed in this ingenious carousel. When attached to your PC via USB port, you can build a searchable database of your disks, then find them by title or keyword. Double-click the title you want from the search results and it is delivered to you in seconds. May also be used standalone."

So I'm thinking that if I take all of that data off my computer's hard drive and download it onto disks, then, using this device, I can readily access the needed data without having to load up single disks, one-at-a-time, into my computer's "E" Drive. Is that what you see also? I'm unsure.
Thanks for any assistance provided.
Is This CD Carousel Going To Act As A Remote Drive?
