Sea Holly...found and hope to keep it alive!

Does anyone grow these? Anything I should know? I've been wanting them for a while and figured I'd have to order them or go to the LBJ Wildflower sale to get some. Guess where I found them? At Wal-Mart for $1.77!!

Ooooh, goody !

I will have to look for s ome too!

I couldn't beLIEVE last week when I saw fuschias at Wally-World. They must have hired some great buyers!

What size pot are the sea hollies?

Oh, I saw those Fuschia's today!! If I hadn't just bought 2 hanging plants (which is very unusual for me) I would get one. Wait...I just remembered that I realized I have to hang both of those in the front in the sun. Doesn't the Fuschia need some shade? That would mean I would have a shady spot.

The Sea Holly is in a little white plastic bag that is tied shut and in a box that has just a bottom. You might have to search for them. They have Butterfly Weed, Sea Holly, and some Daylillies. They have a taproot so that fills up most of the package. Be sure to open the bag and look at the plant inside! I didn't think to do it and got one that was dead, so I of course had to go get another.

BTW, Happy birthday, Konky

I had seen some snowball bushes a few weeks ago, sounds like the sea holly is prolly in the same display.

Thanks! The Sea Holly seems to be an odd plant for them to sell like that, but I am glad.

THAT is what those are called? I stopped on the roadside last summer and cut some to bring home! I love the colors when they come in... I had no idea what they were!

thanks for sharing!

I take the back road from my house to hulen mall area... so they are all over east of Benbrook Lake. I'll tell you when they are 'blooming" again... I think it was August... I swear they look like someone paints them that color....

I know.... Mother Nature!...

Too cool, right here by me! That means that if they bloom in the fall, I've got time to get them planted and hopefully see fall blooms!
