When I called the company and asked about spraying Messenger on rootings cuttings, they told me to spray the "mother plant" 4 days before taking cuttings. I tried it...WOW...the cuttings rooted quickly and in very healthy condition. It is expensive, but I am finding it makes for very healthy plants.

Some info on 'Messenger'
I couldn't stand it any more and purchased a few of the 3 package boxes. At least half of the hoya came out of the greenhouse with active growth. I got the Messenger because some of them had a lot of sun spots and I was afraid they would be permanently damaged. My hoya never got the amount of sun they had in the GH last winter. Shade cloth will be purchased before the autumn solstice!
Also tired of drooling over Carol's blooms and begging mine to bud. I always have beautiful, healthy foliage though. Carols photo of "Monette" got to me!
They got their first dose of Messenger this past weeked. Will let everyone know how it goes.
I did do a small experiment...I srayed 6 brugmansia seedlings WITH Messenger and the others Not. The 6 I sprayed put on more growth...not in feet but in inches...within a month.
