Ok, Here I am, a new "older" Mom, with a love of gardening!
My time is limited but my passion is HUGE!!
For both!!
The history of why I started gardening is special, I think. I wont post it here, but if any are interested I am willing to share.
I am interested in anything that I can learn.
I have an open mind, and an open heart.
I love all gardening, but prefer veggies!!
I like to eat!!
In the past I have had NO luck with flowers other then bulbs, and those fro HD that I have planted in pots.
I mean, I tried seeds last year and got nothing!!
That space this year will go to herbs.
I figure they will go well with the veggies in the kitchen!!! LOL
Any and ALL comments are welcome and appreciated!!!
Wow!!! What a wonderful world!!!

A big welcome to Tylers Mom from New Brunswick, Canada. You'll love it here - no question. Just watch out for those "crazy" gardeners....opps - I guess that would be just about everyone around here wouldn't it ? ..LOL
Have fun and see ya' round the gardens.

OK, you asked, so here ya go.
Three years ago I was pregnant with my first child. I lost him at 4 months utero to complications that I wont get into. Needless to say, this was a devistating experience for me.
My husband decided (out of the blue) to make me a garden, he thought that it would help with the recovery.................I guess that it did. I fell in love with all of the plants that we bought and tended to them with nothing less then a mother's love. I grew my first garden, giving it all the love I had for the son that I had lost...........................This is the 3rd yr. that I will plant this garden. I now have a wonderful 8 month old son named Tyler, he is the love of my life and I can only hope that he will someday share the deep love that I have for the garden.
It is a bitter sweet relationship........
Bless you all!!

Hi Tylers_Mom. Welcome to the best little gardening site on the web.
I have suffered a miscarriage, too, so I understand what it's like to have your hopes up and then have such a loss. You're not alone. Gardening is, indeed, therapeutic. I'm so glad that you joined our garden family here. There is always something going on - things to learn, new ideas to try out and of course, lots of plants and seeds to swap. I hope you like it as much as I do.

Thank you all so much for the warm welcome. Spring is coming (so I'm told) a chance for all of life to live again!!! I plan on making the most of it and am so happy to have found this wonderful forum to share with people who love what I love!!!
God Bless your Gardens!!!!!!!
And of course all gardeners everywhere!!!
Thank you all so much!!!
Maureen
