I'll bet you're just testing the waters to see how many non-subscribers are reading the Seed Trading forum! LOL!

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Micha, you're a sweetie!

you might want to edit that 45 cents to read 49 cents, though.....

Michelle,

I am so heartened to read your post.

I truly can understand the frustration some of you older member feel towards some of the people who do not do their fair share. It was curiosity and plant help that drew my atttention but it was DG members that made the invitation to belong so worthy of the small amount requested to be a member.

The kindness shown to new member me was doubly precious since I had encountered a similar situation on another love of mine - cross stitching. Like garden fanatics, stitchers have come together on the internet and the shared interest we have has created a circle of close sister friends I never thought to have. There too, we would share many parts of our stitching materials and often there would be a few that took advantage of the kindness of others. One of the list became an ever widening circle of hurt feelings and attacks that would have never occurred if we would stood across from each other and looked into each other's eyes. Within a year of the ever widening inflammatory posts, it drove the good people out of the postings and created a core group of people who were sure they had won. I just missed the worldwide community of stitcher sisters I once had access to.

There will always be those who find good people and try to inject their needs upon it but within this group, I am so grateful for those like you who instantly welcomed me into their circle of knowledge and sharing. I have a box filled not only with seeds but with what I consider a true example of God's love at work.

I am melancholy since I have just finished watching "Notebook" while I was creating mailings to send out, one of which happens to be yours :). Thank you Michelle for once again validating the beauty of the human spirit. God Bless.

Mindy

Bless your sweet heart!

Aww shucks! Lol. I'm blushing.

That 49 cents thing gets me every time! I wonder why I'm stuck on 45?

Funny enough, I haven't had any responders for this yet!

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

Well, whether intended or not, it will be a good opportunity to see how many non-members are reading the seed trading threads. Maybe there aren't that many.

Brookeville, MD(Zone 7a)

I still haven't got any takers. Isn't this weird??

Sheran, can they see your post?

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

No, they can't see Sheran's post, and it is weird that you haven't gotten any takers. I can't imagine why?

Brookeville, MD(Zone 7a)

I usually get a lot of non subscriber takers when I post a regular ol' sasbe offer....

New York & Terrell, TX(Zone 8b)

Maybe you should go back to the top post and SCREAM at them; to ask if there are any takers?

Just a thought......

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

Why not start another for subscribers only and see what happens? Maybe the seeds always look better on the other side of the fence.

New York & Terrell, TX(Zone 8b)

Yeah, they're probably thinking that free seeds aren't good enough for them, they may think you'd send everday ordinary blah seeds. Whereas they maybe thinking that the rest of us get the more expensive 'choice' seeds..... LOL!

Maybe you should edit the first post to read, 'Exclusive rare seeds' for one special lucky person only.

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

Maybe they all think it's been taken already, since it's been so long. I'd try editing the first post and shout that it's still available.

Brookeville, MD(Zone 7a)

Those are some good ideas. I'll try Joan's first.

Taylor, TX(Zone 8b)

Maybe every gardener in the world finally subscribed. :)

SUCCESS!

Brookeville, MD(Zone 7a)

That'd be too good to be true! It doesn't sound like I'm getting any takers so I'm closing this thread.

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3a)

Thats weird!

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

this can only work if they know they have the email option

Brookeville, MD(Zone 7a)

I think most of them have figured it out Karrie b/c I get mails from non subscribers frequently.
