50% off at Park Seed Co.

Boulder Creek, CA(Zone 9a)

Dear Gardening Friend,

Thank you for contacting us about the newsletter mailed in error last Saturday. Due to a glitch in our system, you received a newsletter from the same date in 2004, which is why the Bonus Code did not work and many items were no longer available. What a mess! However, if you will give us another chance, we have a special offer just for you:

50% off any seed variety on ParkSeed.com

This offer is good through Friday, March 25, and applies to ANY seed that is not already on sale. There is no limit on quantity, so please feel free to stock up on all your favorites. Just use the Bonus Code SEED50 when you checkout to get the special savings . . . and this time the Bonus Code WILL work, I promise!

Once again, on behalf of all of us here at Park, I apologize for the inconvenience. I hope you will continue to garden with us!

Sincerely yours,

Linda

Is this code specific just to you? Any idea?

Boulder Creek, CA(Zone 9a)

I doubt it. Was a generic email to everyone on their newsletter list.

COOL! However, I *thought* I was done with purchasing seed! :)

Boulder Creek, CA(Zone 9a)

999- How can a true gardener EVER be truly "done" with purchasing/acquiring seeds?

ha ha how is right.... took the opp this am to check out the site and spent 20$... but that was 50% of what it could have been.... A bargain???

keep on gardening.

Bad Bad srKrause,

You made me order more seeds. Boy what a deal and I got some things I really wanted.

Boulder Creek, CA(Zone 9a)

Gosh, Makshi--- I feel just terrible. If it will help your guilt, just fwd the seeds to me!

LOL

That is a good sale that Parks is having. BUT be careful. I ordered 6 packets of seeds and they came back telling me that the corkscrew seeds were out. But, when I got my confirmation they were only sending 3 packs of seeds. So, my postage cost more than the seeds I was getting.

Call them, Jeanette, and they will make things right. I've had good luck with their customer service. Tell them what would make you happy (being able to add seeds to your order, having a dollar taken off your shipping costs, getting a coupon good on future orders), and I am guessing they will work something out.

Boulder Creek, CA(Zone 9a)

Yes. Park Seed Co. is very accommodating. I got a pkt of seeds that was 9 of 30 short. I just emailed and they replied quickly, apologized, and sent me a free replacement. I did it all by email. Easy.

I ordered from them also. I have never had any trouble with them yet. Don't expect any now. I can't wait to get the petunia seeds I ordered. They are so pretty and should make a great hanging basket.

Cary, NC(Zone 7a)

I assumed I was done with new seeds for the season and saw this thread, adding to my obsession I just ordered five new packets of seeds, my wife tells me I won't have any more room in the greenhouse if I keep this up! Yet, everything in this order was for her flower garden, now the obsession is enabling others.....what a great way to enable someone, plant some new flowers......

New for me, or for my son really with be the Chinese Lantern, he will think it's great.

Joseph, OR(Zone 5a)

Well, I ordered more, like I needed them! They didn't know anything about a SEED50 discount, so I was on hold for a while. Appearantly, it was supposed to be 30%, not 50% in the email! They said they would let me have it anyway. So thanks Steve for the heads up!

hummmm

online all you do is enter SEED50 in the coupon code box.

Oh, I called in my order. I didn't do it online.

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6a)

Well, that just cost me $13.50, but I also got a permanent marker that was $3.50. Lots of seeds. Anyone know a cheaper place to get a permanent marker? My Sharpie is doing the job longterm. Any suggestions mightily appreciated. I'm new to DG and I love it.

Shame on you Steve!
You MADE me spend over $50. on more seeds. Like I have time to start more seeds!
I haven't finished sowing the ones I have.
Really tho, thank you so much. I did not get the email about the 50% off, but I did try to order the ones in the original email that they sent (the one that was accidently sent from last year).

I have found Park's to be very fair when you have a problem. Since my order was over $100. they automatically added 3 Purple Cone Flower plants. The shipping ended up being over $19! So, I emailed them & told them that I didn't want the plants, but they informed me that the order was already being filled. They apologized & adjusted the shipping charges. (I assumed the shipping was high because of the plants.) I got an email that they have shipped my order! Yipee!

Thanks again!

I have no shame, Prism! Spend and plant. Life's to short as it is!

LOL!

I received the erroneous email then the follow up apology email and scanned through and deleted both. LOL I had to go back, use the half off code and also my $5 gift card from ordering the catalogue. Ended up with another 13 or so types of seeds. Sigh.
