CLOSED: Looking for wild tomato...

Hermosa Beach, CA

Matt's Wild Red Cherry
"Early. Small, deep-red fruits are packed with sweet full flavour and can be found growing wild in parts of Mexico. Indeterminate. "
I have some Camp Joy cherry tomato seeds to trade and other items on my trading list.

I think I just ordered some of these, but can't remember. I'm too tired to think now. I can search for it Wed. Tomorrow is full. Remind me if you do not hear from me.

Steve, you seem to have everything :)

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

If he's out, LMK. He sent me a packet of "Wild Cherry" tomato with a few more seeds than I can use. I don't think it's the "Matt's" variety, however, it might still suit.

Well critterrologist, from what I found out, there might be a few known varieties of wild tomatoes (I even found a texas wild tomato somewhere). If you are willing to share some seeds with me, why should I refuse? (LMK if you can find a name). Are you interested in anything in my trading list?

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

I've been thinking for a while we might be able to find a few things we'd like to swap..... I'll check your list & my stash, and I'll email you soon!

Hermosa Beach, CA

Ok...LMK
BTW I updated my trading list.

Camp Joy is in Boulder Creek --- MY home town! Small world.

Hermosa Beach, CA

I've been to Boulder Creek, once. I really liked that town. Does your garden have an opening on the woods?

Boulder Creek, CA(Zone 9a)

Here is the package cover. This is what criterologist has. I can share 5 or 6 seeds I suppose... ;-)

I am behind on starting my toms.

Ok for the wild cherry, I'll send you some Camp Joy (unless you want something else).
I only found 2 types of wild tomatoes seeds on the web: one is called "texas wild tomato" and the other "peru wild tomato".
The funny thing is that I went hiking last weekend around Malibu Beach, and I saw plenty of what I thought at first, was wild eggplant (but my research wasn't conclusive on that point) and after further research it happened to be wild tomato. That day I didn't bring my digging material so I couldn't bring anything at home :( (I couldn't feast on fresh miner's lettuce either).
LMK what you decide and thanks anyway.
Jennifer
