I mean, isn't March suppose to be unpredictable, often nasty/nice, and very changing from day to day? That is how it has been here this year. One day in the upper 50s to mid 60s, sunny, balmy breezes gently blowing, the air dry, etc. The next day it is in the 30s-40s, very windy with lots of cool to cold moisture in the air and very little sunshine. I will be so glad when the weather finally gets warm and stays warm. And not too wet to work in the soil. We got a nice gentle rain this evening. The wind has been out of the east all day and rather strong. Not weather that made me want to work outside.
I went to our youngest daughter's yesterday and spent the night. We went to Sam's and she renewed her card and put our name on the account so I paid for half of the fee. I wanted to get Shadoe a really good firm, thick pillow but never did find one like we had gotten for Jack a couple years ago that is still in good condition. We finally found some that were acceptable tho.
Shad is in a cooking class in school and brought home a bread recipe last week. We made another batch for supper last night but it got seasoned really well and had cheeses worked into the dough. Very tasty!
The baby degus are growing rapidly. For a litter of 10 Rachel is doing a wonderful job of producing enough milk. They are eating tiny bits of solid food already too. By this time next week I'm sure I'll have to move the family to the larger cage.
The tiny 2 bud hosta start I found on top of the ground a week or 2 ago already has a leaf about 1/2" tall and another one poking thru the soil. It has a good set of roots to be so tiny but I'm still somewhat suprised by how well it is doing. We have quite a few daffodils blooming already and more with buds on them. The peonies are poking thru the ground too. Lots of green showing all over the yard.
GOD bless and keep each and all of you.
March 21- March is behaving like, well, March
