I'm really needing some color to perk me up. There is no hope for the yard for quite a while. It is still brown. Nothing has awakened in the flower beds except a few tulips that are peaking out of the ground and a few crocus that are blooming here and there. Here is Mountain Magic. She was a very colorful addition to my yard last year. I can't wait to see her and some of the others that have good color, come to life again. Just having green grass again will be nice.
Summer seems so far away.....
I agree with you Shirley, I, too, have tulips, forsythis, and a few crocus's blooming...the rest is very bland out. The only thing is, I may be cutting grass very soon....and it starts again lol....
One word about your MM.......WOW!
Julie
I can't spell worth a toot!

Brugie, the photo is wonderful , makes me dream of warmer weather.
Shirley, will temps in the 40's or mid 40's hurt my brugs if I put them outside? Boy am I jones'in to get them outside lol!
It won't hurt them, but might slow them down and if the temps are still that cool, isn't there a chance that you could still see a frost? If those are night temps, I'd think you would be okay unless something strange happens and this year has been full of strange weather already. Just be prepared to cover them if you have to.
Yep Shirley, that is the low's in the night temps. The day temps are and will be in the 70's. This has been one year that was definetely strange with the weather changes...I just wish it would make it's mind up. I shall be prepared for whatever happens though. Thanks for helping me decide :)
I am in love with MM, Wow! I agree with Terrie, gorgeous!
Thanks Julie.
lucky you with any kind of flowers all we are seing is dead grass, and weeds
Its just so beautiful!! Great pictures!
Hey Doris, I have a few crocus in bloom if you can find them among the dead leaves and grass. LOL!
Thanks Shelly. That picture of Terry's is really dark. Love it.
Ooooh! I have a MMX? (one of your seeds as a matter of fact!) Sprouting, geeze I'd be happy with 1/2 of that color!
My only bloom has been a white one, so I will be in heaven this summer!
Great picture! Your's too, Snowhermit. I'd love to paint that Brug in watercolor.
Bj
I just pollinated a bunch of brugs with MM 2 or 3 weeks ago and it looks like they all took. Too much fun!
kell I can see you now, jumping up and down like it is your first lol
no wonder you have such wonderful flowers, and keep wanting more.
Doris
After our bad storm night before last I found that this one had buds and blooms tough enough to survive the beating. It is in a pot an it was laying over and that is why the blooms still have some soil on them. It was real dirty and I washed most of the dirt off the blooms. This is another of Susie's seedlings from last year. I also had L'Amour blooming and the flowers did not hold up at all and they were pale in color.
I like that salmon with yellow throat. Niiiiice!
That's pretty Frannie. We are going to have some great looking yards this summer.
Hang in there, Shirley; it will soon be beautiful weather!
It looks like there will be plenty of new beauties from last years seedlings. I can't wait to see them all with their summer color.
Frannie, sometimes brugs in pots aren't a bad idea. At least they don't snap off, but instead just lay over in a big wind.
I hope you are right Roz. I'm sure ready and waiting. Even with the heat on today my greenhouse is only 64 degrees.

The last few nights the temp has stayed above 60 at night. Looks like everything will start popping out here soon.
Looks like Mississippi is the place to be.
I wonder if that pink will get deeper as it ages. It is such a bright, clear pink. I hope it is a keeper Frannie. We need more true pinks!
It will be interesting to see what it does with the next flush. I am almost hoping that it does not darken up much. I would like a pretty medium shade of a true pink.
Beautiful bloom, Frannie.
I have to agree.........it will be a fun and exciting summer to see all the new blooms that all of us will be having. I also enjoy seeing the brugs that are familiar to all of us. Hey.........I like Isabella and not many people want her, but she will always have a place in my garden. She always shows off for me and it is amazing that people who are not acquainted with brugs actually like the pale pink over the darker colors.
Everyone have a Happy and Blessed Easter. I will be leaving to go out of town in the morning and will not be back until Monday.
You too Frannie, I hope the Easter bunny comes to your house with a basket full of goodies!
