Question about Cats & Food.

Crossville, TN(Zone 7a)

I recently planted about 100 or so butterfly weed seeds.
Say they all make it and I get cats- they eat really fast. What happens if they eat all the plants and have no more food left? Should I cull some along the way to ensure they don't starve?
Or will the lack of food make them spin a cocoon?

I'm at a loss and don't wanna murder any cats! LOL

If you end up with 100 plants it seems unlikely to me that any will starve.

LOL....those cats can eat a lot tho!! I'm not an expert on your area (or anywhere else actually) but unless you have Monarch's year round you will probably have enough food. If not, then you will be doing the mad search like many of us have done trying to feed our hungry babies! I was down the the LAST bit of my milkweed with my last brood. It was that close, but I lucked out and they all pupated without having to panic. If you do run out tho, they will pupate early. Good luck!

Thank you!
