I just noticed Big Yella is in bloom!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

And once again she is really Big Orange. Funny how the cold brings out the pumpkin color. Has anyone else noticed that cold brings out the darker colors in yellows?

It beautiful in that deep color, Kelley. Vickis 'Morgain Le Fay' also get a deeper color, when the weather get cooler. Her summercolor is creamy white with streaks of peach. I noted the same deepening in color in 'Amorin' and CG. EP was not an exception, even though it is not a golden hybrid was white with a faint pink hue for me through the warm period of thre summer, but the late autumn colors was a change from white over light to deep dark pink. Cool weather brings all the best up in them.

I bet Kell's yard is like paradise! I guess if one has a million or so blooms, a few orange/yellow ones could go unnoticed!

Hey, I think I am being dissed here big time. LOL Hello Chele, funny we have been meeting a couple of times this week. How are you girl?

Look, my winter backyard is a disaster area. I am undergoing a massive repotting campaign. And it rains on me as I repot. LOL All together now....POOR KELL!! Plus it is all rain puddles and mud. The ground is not soaking up any more rain.

So anyway, Look where Big Yella is.......in the corner behind other brugs. If I walk up from the side, I see it head on. But from my backyard, it is but just another brug, lost in a sea of brugs.

So much for my paradise Susie. LOL Next year, I am going to make a change. I swear.
