I was just watering my plants and discovered one that I thought I'd lost has come back !!! When I discovered it had dried up (not from lack of watering tho) and disappeared I was sick....it is such a beauty and bloomed so well for me last year. http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/461090/
The tropicals never cease to amaze me.

(: Ü :) I'm sooooo excited (: Ü :)
Good for you Pam. The biggest thrill I have now is a couple of Hippeastrums blooming. Oh and I have some blue too. My streptocarpella is blooming again. I leave the fancy ones to you.
You've got some beauties I would kill for Brenda! ;) Most of my unusual tropicals are so young but I hope I'll be able to do some trading with them soon.
What?! What have I got that you want? You don't have to kill for. Arrangements can be made.
Oh I'm pretty sure some of your liliums/hems will be lusted over by me. Please post pictures of your beauties when they bloom. ;)
Those are ouside plants, easy to have. For sure - you know I like to show the beauties when they bloom. Lots more lilies ordered this year. Plus a few I picked up the other day. Such a good investment is a lily. For about 4 bucks you get a nice showy clump in a few years to share with your friends. I'm working on putting all of them up in my journal. Feel free to 'shop'. Most of my hems are not ready for dividing yet. I find they take a little longer to clump up.
That's ok........will take awhile for some of my tropicals also to get to trading size but we can eye each others beauties and keep track of what the other likes (crossing fingers and toes that the trops survive). ;)
That's a real beauty Pam. I'm glad you didn't lose it. I think Jeanne is going to give me a wee cutting of hers when it gets bigger so I was glad to read that it grew well from a cutting. I've planted some Thunbergia seeds...they're just the regular kind and they're growing really well.
double post........look below ;)

Thanks Sandy. It really surprised me......I had it in a pot with another vine and the other tropical vine is doing fine so I thought the Thunbergia had died. Dormancy wasn't in my thoughts at the time (the area it was in is very bright but does get cool in the wintertime).
You'll love the thunbergias.......I have a tropical white one (T. fragrans), the grandiflora and the above battiscombei (I love all of them). Please show us pics of yours when they germinate.

You mean when they flower right? Although, I must say, they are rather cute little plants. I go out there and admire them every day. Okay, well, I have to admit that I go out and admire all my little babies a couple of times a day and bring the flats in to show my mom frequently too. LOL One of the packages of thunbergia I bought is called Salmon Shades....I thought it looked rather nice in the catalogue.
LOLOL they are amazing to watch grow ;) ........the salmon shade one looks gorgeous (you are talking about the annual ones now right?).
Yes, the annual ones. I've never grown any before.
Neither have I from seed. Those are one of the ones I mean to try when I do.
I am growing those right now. They were extremely easy to germinate and are doing very well now. All of the ones I planted are thriving. I am bringing some extra seeds to the RU if you want to try them Pam.
Thank you Donna I would love to try them. :)
It looks gorgeous Donna Ü.......I just noticed my grandiflora is blooming as well.
Mine in the house isn't. It's been putting out new shoots out of the soil so that's a good sign.
:) Donna
I'll have to check mine for new shoots. Just noticed the one bloom when I was cleaning dead leaves off the floor (what I would give for a greenhouse.....plants are sooooooo much happier in them).
Beautiful!
