I have really missed you all and the great information I get from this site.
I have been working long crazy hours these past few weeks and when I finally do come home, I am too tired to even log onto Daves. Now I know for sure this is an addiction because as I am reading through the threads and enjoying all the great photos, I almost have the shakes!
I am getting some forced time off today due to something dumb I did this morning. I didn't bother to get dressed when I drove my girls to school today, I just threw my raincoat on over my pjs. When I got home, I realized I had grabbed the spare keys for the car and left my regular house keys securely locked inside. What to do...go back to one of their school offices looking like a transient and borrow their key?...I would never hear the end of it...so in through an unlocked window I went, neighbors staring on. The plan was to land safely on a bed below, but my raincoat acted like a propellant and across the bed and onto the floor I went. Not one of my brighter moves!
Oh well, maybe it's worth it for a day of play on Dave's!
How I have missed this site and especially this forum!
LOL - funny one! I remember during a hot summer (no underware under my sun dress), that I chopped my finger off trimming the bushes. Went to the hospital and they told me to put my legs in the air as I was feeling faint - told the cute young doc that I couldn't (no undies!!!) My family still laughs at that one!!!
Ladies, I'm sorry but you all have me ROTFLOL..... haven't we all done something like this. lol lol
Judy
I'm dying here, omgosh!!! I do think all of has done something like this, I know I did too. Thanks for the laugh, I needed that LOL ROFLMBO!
Julie
Oh how great it was to read this you all , haven't had a good laugh all day. thanks for the humor. Of course you probably did think it was funny at the time did you.

Yea, I'm a bit stiff, but when I think of the alternative, (showing up at either teenager's school office), I know these pains will heal more quickly than wrath of angry daughter...at least I'm not too hurt to surf Dave's. I'm having a blast.
Oh Angela, that is too funny. It could have been more embarrassing had you gone to school. I think you made the right choice, even if the landing wasn't in the plans. LOL!
Yep, I know you're right, Brugie. I'm sure my girls agree, too, because when I told them about my little "incident", neither of them said, "Mom, you should have come and got my key". Their expressions were a mixture of sympathy and relief!
Oh my the kids didn't want to be embrassed by MOM Lol

LOL Angela, I do things like that also. My husband just looks at me with disbelief.
Oh Sue, that is too funny! You must have died. I guess you did not listen to your Mom to always have on clean underwear just in case you had to go to the hospital. LOL
This is too funny!! Thanks .
And she could have done a Sue and forgotten her undies when she got stuck hanging out the window. LOL.
LOL Kin!!
Too funny!! Well, when you put it like that, I do feel rather lucky! I'm cracking up getting this scary visual of me stuck in the window. I don't know if that would have been better or worse than my torpedo impersonation!
No worries, Kin. I am constantly laughing at myself...I really think if this incident was on America's Home Videos, I would have made it to the finals. I neglected to mention I wear glasses and never thought to take them off first...(remember I thought I would plop gently down onto a soft bed)...so after my dive they were at a very odd angle at the top of my head and wrapped around my ear. Frankly, I am amazed that they weren't broken.
All in all, I am just sore enough that I SHOULD think twice before I do something like that again, but not too sore to garden. Life IS GOOD!

Life is Good!! So true!
