March 18th-Fun on the Farm

Monroe, WI(Zone 4b)

Gosh, it is noon here and nothing horrible has happened. Perhaps this will be a slow day. :>) Vet sposed to be coming for a cow with a nasty case of metritis; had twins a week ago and only passed one cleaning, so the other one is still there. Don't wanna be too close behind her for any reason. Phewwwww.........an infusion will help take care of that. Luckily she is still eating, so hopefully won't have to treat her with any antibiotics. The snow is melting that we were gifted with yesterday, and "they" are forecasting rain with possible t-showers. We shall see.............what we do need is the snow gone and a good soaking rain to settle the mud and get the frost out of the ground. I want spring!!!!! But, I always say, no matter what the calendar says, it's not really spring to me till I can go outside and take a good breath of fresh air and smell........DIRT!!!!! You farmers that work the land know what I'm talking about.
