Ted, that is one of the best smelling brugs I've ever run into. Messy blooms, but I'm thinking about getting it again. Just for the fragrance. LOL!
Gee Shirley, I sure have missed the fragrance. I wll have to check it out tonight! Though it is right next to Arborea, and that scent is not only hard to overpower but hard to beat..

I would put this one right next to Arborea for smell. Kristi, the only thing I have against the Shredded White is that it is messy. Did you find it messy when you had it before? My spent blooms seemed to fall a petal at a time instead of the whole bloom falling.

Maybe it makes me weird, but I kinda like that messy shredded look. If it smells wonderful too, hmmmm, it might be worth a try.
Reminds me of vanilla custard ice cream cones (upside down,) my favorite!

I will help you decide.........put it out of its misery like I did mine several years ago. Its a deformed brug which I did not care for at all except for the fragrance.

You have so many that are above this one and so many seedlings with great potential. If you were not happy with it before, you will not be happy with it now.

I am looking forward to mine blooming. I have never seen a flower I would really call ugly, except maybe that bat flower. Jeanette

I think I agree with you Ted. And the reproductive parts are always deformed if even there.

Kell there isn't anything ugly about your Shredded white, but if you really feel like you have to put it out of it's misery I will send you sase. Just let me know how much.

Joelle. so far I've never had a pod on mine. I think I left mine out to freeze this winter. It smells good but I couldn't love the blooms on it. LOL

Joelle I had two pods on mine a couple of years ago.
Unfortunately it got too hot in the GH one day and they were laying on the floor when I went out.

Well, the scent is delightful. I am going to move it away from Arborea and see if it carries well. If it does I may keep him!! Here is a bottom view.

I still think it's beautiful. If everything that was ugly, plain, different or just a little "off" were thrown out, this would be a very dull world.
I like it! Remember, bubble skirts are coming back. But then I've never been a conformist and the unusual always appeals.

Kell , it is not ugly, strange maybe, remember that one man's trash is someone elses gold. I always root for the underdog and that's quite the underdog LOL. But I think its pretty and you say it smells good also well I could stick my nose in it and smell for awhile lol.
