I'm wondering where you are taking all of these beautiful photos. This is another really lovely Iris.

This one was taken at my home, but last year I traveled a great deal, taking the camera along. I went to the National convention in Fresno, and then I visited Cooley’s Snowpeak, Mid-America, Keppel’s and Schreiners. Then back to Nebraska for the TBIS Convention that was held with the Region 21 Spring Tour. This year I am going to stay home a bit more so I can see all of the irises I have growing!

Good for you. You ARE really serious. Are you hybridizing iris, just enjoying them, or both?
It's pretty funny actually. I thought that this sounded familiar. I ordered it from Keith Keppel for the fall too. I was considering ordering a couple of Kerr's Iris. Do you have any that you like? The new introductions seem really beautiful. And then there is the 2004 fabulous Ghio Expose Iris. You haven't happened to see this one in person have you?

He's practically in my backyard. I'll see if he has tours.

I do hybridize, just getting started. I am working on rebloomers for cold climates with more patterns and improved form.

You should look into attending the Region 14 Spring Tour. This may be your only opportunity to see Ghio’s place as his place is not open to the public. Oh do I ever wish that I could go!

I do think that Fred Kerr has some excellent introductions. He has some great patterns and I have found his introductions to be excellent plants

Well, I'm excited about what you are doing. Really substantial rebloomers for any climate are hard to find. And I do love rebloom. My favorite rebloomer is plain old "Harvest of Memories". In my warm climate it blooms all winter, it actually never stops from September on. While it isn't special, there is nothing like bright yellow flowers and a sweet scent in the middle of December. And it's a zone 3 rebloomer too - but I imagine you know that. I kind of tripped over it looking for scented Iris. I'm looking forward to Sutton's opening so that I can see what they are offering this year in terms of rebloomers. It should be fun.

And thanks for the link. I do appreciate you putting all of these photos on. As I've said before, I use them all the time.

Do you know where this iris is being sold in the US?
Thanks! :)

Keith Keppel has it on sale for $20.00. You might be interested to know that it's a parent of Decadence which is one spectacular Iris too.

You have to email him or call. He doesn't have a website although his catalog is available. His email is:
