I'm getting excited...

I can't wait to get my liners from the coop. This is a liner that I received from WaterlooLily last fall. It finally bloomed today. Meet Petra.

I took three pictures, and this one came out closest to the actual bloom.

Another....This one is a couple of shades lighter than it really is, but, oh well. I'm not a professional photographer. Just wanted to share.

Oh very pretty Shirley. I think I got that one in summer or fall from Carols liners on e-bay. Have more coming at the end of the month. Just what I need lol

Shoot Donna, I had to go order pots for mine. I wanted something that would stand up in a wind. AM Leonard got a bunch of my $$ today. LOL! I've got 14 coming from the coop, so I'll be knee deep in potting soil when they get here.

I will have about 30 when these last 5 come. Just what I needed a new plant collection that has to go into the GH. DH had a fit when I slipped and said I had 5 plants coming. He doesn't know about the 5 I got in summer or the 5 in fall plus all the others I already sneaked in all summer..

Sounds familiar Donna. Jim is mellowing now, so I don't worry too much about what I buy or how much it costs.

Beautiful Shirley .... I can hardly wait!!

Sure is too bad they don't last more than one day. This morning the flower is folded. So sad. Thanks Deb.

Shirley your flower is beautiful.

Thanks Terry. Wish I knew how to hybridize hibiscus. I think they are now my second favorite plant/flower.

Here is a photo of my Hibiscus that I have over wintered this year. The first bloom isn't she something. I don't know the name for sure I need to look it up, when I got it the tag on it said Hibiscus. Just wanted to share, it is ready to be moved outside when the outside is ready for it.

They look great! I thought hibiscus would be my second favorite plant also.. until I tried one.. lol the littlest move I made to it, made all the buds fall off.. and I thought "umm no" LOL So off she went.
They are so beautiful tho! Looks like yall are doing great with them! I cant wait to see pictures of all the new ones yall bought.

Oh wow, Linda, I really like those colors. Very pretty. I'd love to have one like it so if you ever find out what it is, please post or drop me a line, would you?

Thanks,

Shirley

Shelly, I've done the same thing. In the house now, I just leave them like they go in. No quarter turns or anything. I've had a lot of blooms this winter. Might even have one out there now on one of the fancies. In the summer, they get moved around a lot and continue to bloom. Can't wait for those warm days again.

Beautiful, I believe it's Mandarin Wind, it looks just like mine. Mine has bloomed all winter under my grow lights.

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

Oh Shirley! Petra is beautiful! I'm starting some hibiscus for the first time - from seed - one has germinated so far. Not sure what they will look like though.

Thanks Karrie. I just got ten or twelve new ones from the coop. Can't wait to see them bloom. Most have buds, so with some warm weather, it won't be long.
