Thanks everyone, I didn't think I would ever see pods like these. We have had some pretty strong winds, but so far they are hanging tight! Melba

Melba, your bees have been very busy or maybe it was the hummingbird moths

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

Nice blooms and great looking seed pod too!

BTW, you might want to switch your blue tarp to black plastic, which will smother the grass a lot faster. The black color absorbs the sunray's quicker and heats up the soil. Anything under the black plastic will "be cooked". I use black plastic in my veggie bed to deter the weeds. It really does make a difference!

Thanks Shirley, I am just making use of the "blue tarp" that was on our roof! I know black would be much faster.I would like to get rid of all the grass and plant flowers, but it is a hard job.LOL! We have more dollar plant than grass. Hate that stuff!

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Congrats on your seed pods and your blooms Melba. I enjoy seeing everyones southern blooms after being bloom deprived for months up here.
Hope you get some pretty babies from those seeds.
